Fragile Do Not Bend
When you are on a major road and the person ahead of you, but on the slip road, is going slower than you or even slowing down. And you can’t pull out into the next lane because of traffic.

I never know what is safest in those circumstances - keep going at the same speed (or speed up) to pass him and hope he’s seen me and doesn’t decide to pull out when I’m right next him, or slow down to let him out in front.

In theory you should maintain your speed and they should give way, but in practice I often ease off and let them out, otherwise they can get stuck stationary on the slip road which is dangerous.

Trouble with slowing down to let them out - a couple of times I’ve slowed down, then so have they, then I slow a bit more, they slow a bit more... would be so much easier if those drivers learn how to do slip roads properly.

Sticking with driving, when you are coming to a roundabout which has multiple lanes. There are signs saying which lane goes to which exit, and it’s written on the road but the road only splits into the numerous lanes right at the end. So you get in the correct lane, only for others to go past to avoid the queue and then either cut in, or go around the roundabout and completely stop half way round until someone lets them in, causing anyone behind them in the correct lane to have to wait.

Can’t stand other drivers and this is one of the many reasons why. Just wait in the queue like everyone else.

A bit like when there is a lane closure on a motorway and such drivers avoid the merging queue by shooting past and cutting in at the last minute. Didn't realise? They know full well what they're doing.

When multiple lanes merge it is best to use the maximum number of lanes for as long as possible to keep the queues shorter, and merge in turn. The biggest twats in the world are those that straddle 2 lanes trying to block the passage of others.

Cars should merge in turn. If everyone was slowing down as you'd expect, it would be easier to do this from up to half-a-mile away. Queues occur by drivers leaving it to the last minute and coming to a standstill in the closed lane. Then, the 'open' lane also comes to a halt as drivers have to slow right down to allow a non-moving vehicle to join that lane.

There was a documentary a few years ago to ask why motorway queues occur. It was discovered that [usually] speeding or tailgating drivers have to keep tapping their brakes. The car behind reacts by doing the same and suddenly everyone is slowing down for no reason.
