Think my best was about a mile with a french baguette poking out of my rucksack like an Ariel ☺

Good work, Fleecy. Someone should set up The Gluten Mile.

So: last night, bravely ran in the dark past werewolves and zombies to catch the bus: 4.03 miles carrying this:

That's right *different* prepackaged nonsense from Waitrose.

Now that's not a winner in itself. But having caught the bus home from that point... it was on diversion, so I got off further along and ran the 2.15 miles home from that point. That's 6.18 miles carrying a Waitrose sourdough loaf.

Bravo Mister McGoo.

I've moved and I run on a towpath to this place http://www.hartsbakery.co.uk/. Yesterday I did 1.5 miles from the bakery to work with a sourdough loaf, then back home - approx 3 miles.

Yesterday I ran with a cheese and mustard Danish pastry and last week with a bacon and egg muffin.

If you've ever got a bit of time at Bristol Temple Meads station, go out of the station and check out this place. There are seats and great coffee.

Things must have changed around Temple Meads since I lived in Brislington. Back then the only thing you could sample was menace.

They have Mac! I'm in Brislington at the mo', just up the Bath Road on the left. I cross the river at the Edward Road Bridge and run to Temple Meads up the towpath and then along the canal.

Back at Hart's Bakery yesterday after leaving the station in my running gear.

Mulled quince Danish pastry
Choc and walnut brownie
Rye & mushroom (sausage-type) roll.

Ran quite fast as I wanted to get home and eat them.

I ran quite quickly back from Andover with some seasonal bread, but got stopped by the police, who assumed it was stollen
