I wonder how many towns & cities of the world have their names routed in the UK? (probably mainly for those in former places of the Empire?)

The Bay State has a Chelmsford, a Brentwood, a Billerica*, a Braintree, a Harwich...
Less New England, more New Essex.
*named incorrectly after Billericay. Well worth a google. It's an odd story.

Suffolk has a New England. New England has a Suffolk (more than one, in fact).

I've been to York, Pickering, Scarborough - all just outside Toronto.
There must be 100s, 1000s, of UK town names across the world.!

At one point Essex and Kent Police both had their headquarters in Springfield - Chelmsford and Maidstone respectively.
