I didn't notice either way in Asda, so perhaps they weren't either?

There's been plenty of Xmas tunes from mid November, so well before Halloween. Have been out for a run in the woods, and now WFH. Safe for now.

Mistletoe and wine playing. I'm definitely playing Russian Roulette here, it can only be a matter of time. If there are 6 chambers, I've had 4 blanks (Jona Louie, McCartney, Wizzard and now Sir Cliff).

Hallowe'en is October 31. Day before All Saints' Day (November 1), hence the name. Just saying.

Of all the Christmas staple pop songs I might like the Jona Louie one the very least.

It’s an awful dirge.

I quite like “I Believe in Father Christmas” although I know I shouldn’t.

I also like “A Spaceman Came Travelling” but only the lalalalalala bit.

If I had to pick favourites, Step Into Christmas, Christmas Wrapping, and that Spice Girls thing that isn't actually a Christmas song but gets wheeled out every year. 2-become-1 or however it's styled.

About This Thread

GOOGLE SHEET HERE:

docs.google.com

Sheet for 2024 is on the first tab; you update your own entry. As with previous years, we're also tracking the number of repeated 'hits' for those who are out before the end (if you want to).

Who's up for the challenge then? whamageddon.com

"The 1st Rule
The objective is to go as long as possible without hearing WHAM's Christmas classic; "Last Christmas".

The 2nd Rule
The game starts on December 1st, and finishes at the end of December 24th.
Use your local timezone, if you'd like.

The 3rd Rule
Only the original version applies.

The 4th Rule
You're out as soon as you recognise the song.

Player vs Player?
While we can't stop you from deliberately sending your friends to Whamhalla, the intention is that this is a survival game. Not a Battle Royale. So ... don't be a dick, okay?"
