Just for my own interest I looked up why these pastry products are vegan, the fats are various combinations of rapeseed and palm oil. Fair enough apart from palm oil, see avocado.

The pastry products would taste much nicer if they contained butter. Or lard.

Coconut oil is very good if you don't mind everything tasting a bit coconuty.

Coconut sugar is a marvelous, marvelous thing.

Bounty bars are, however, about as un-marvelous as a food stuff can be.....

Coconut oil is good in curry but less good as the main component of cheese.

Coconut works pretty well in yoghurt.

But agree coconut based cheese is definitely 'i'd rather just go without' territory.

Bounty bars would be so much better without coconut. Its the coconut that ruins them...
