Yes, did well at OC and UC, as above really.....plus assorted historical figures, I think Edinburgh are quite good...they ran into a right set of spods.

Like SsH from last month I am convinced that we have had questions before Indeed I would go so far as to say that most of last night,s questions we have had in the last couple of series. I had my best ever score having watched last nights event just in the last few minutes. Silicon carbide and that group I was correct, the currents, the African cultural questions just to mention a few. It was like deja vu all over again. I have certainly not seen the programme, indeed Mrs DB accused me of having watched it and we argued pretty vehemently about whether I had, but I cannot explain how I knew some answers, way outside my usual knowledge.

OK I may have confused things as maybe SsH was referring to OC while I was referring to UC but my point still stands. I know stuff because of 60 years of learning but that was spooky as I was so good.

I reckon, there are two things, one, some repetion (in OC/UC and any other quiz you care to mention), two, if you watch enough quiz shows you pick up all sorts of stuff.....

You are right WS and I am sure I have absorbed stuff over the years but I just felt that I was able to answer the questions, as Paxman was asking them, far too often. I am sure that we have all done that on occasions for the odd question or two but it was ridiculously regular for my usual experience. Might just have to put it down to one of those nights where everything went my way, but still felt spooky lol

A bit of both probably, as an example, I even get the odd classical music question right!

I hate the way they keep messing around with the scheduling, just leave it alone! Only Connect now clashes with the Bob Ross painting programme so I don't get my normal 30 minutes of calm
At least Nigella wasn't doing banana skin curry this week!
