The Great Raemondo
Does it happen to coincide with the Challenge event by any chance, Totters?

Cycle touring in Mallorca = good R&R Morning PoD, Morning All. Last day of the month and I'm so far behind. So much for good intentions. |

Important to have this down time @TRO Angus - you just need time to get the priority right and book those training windows. That and your landy mot fall apart, house dissolve in the Scottish rain etc.... |

I did a blog on my wanger! Short version - Swim/Bike/Run Aug 5.7 558 236 46:07 Sep 7.3 573 234 48:03 All good! Long version below! fetcheveryone.com/blog-share.php?id=434650 Swim Bike Run Total Hours Jan 0 145 114 24:45 Feb 0 319 92 22:53 Mar 0 723 220 50:08 Apr 0 245 227 28:35 May 0 173 188 22:05 Jun 0 308 195 31:22 Jul 0 204 193 28:23 Aug 5.7 558 236 46:07 Sep 7.3 573 234 48:03 This year is on track to be the second highest bike and total hours behind 2020 (lots of lockdown zwift miles) and second highest run year behind 2015 (2:41 marathon) which suggests things are falling into place. Weight remains steady at 80Kg which I delighted with after losing 2 stone in Q1. So far this year I have laid down a solid base for bike/run and I think I am starting to identify as a triathlete. “I am a triathlete.” I realised I must like doing phys quite a bit when I was one of the only people waking up at 0500, no, 0400, sometimes earlier, to run to the pool (4km) and run back (4km) before work. Or to run or ride to the base shop (6km), the local town (20km), spend a few nights in a hotel (30km). I saved a fortune on taxis and buses! And nights out! This is the first time I have really considered that I ‘own’ an identity or identify as something (swim/bike/run). I might even put that in my signature block. Ideally, I’ll do some more Megan Training (It’s all about the base, no Tempo ;-0)! Just heard a good podcast suggestion to do 1 min on/off for 12 min up to 25 min on/off by Feb. I have a good base and will be capable of riding 6hrs plus in Nov. In 2013 I worried about making the distances, this time I want to get as fast as I can. Just tried weighing myself… knowing I needed to subtract 2.4kg for clothes and boots… I watched the scale go from 82kg to 81kg and got very excited until it shot up to 85kg… I guess the ship is moving more than I thought! Had a great time in Guam, nice to ride some long(ish) climbs again - 18min. Got my bike serviced by an Olympian mountain biker, ran lots, improved my swimming and bought an Oculus for Christmas at a good price: oculus.com I have enjoyed reading this wiki fetcheveryone.com/article-view.php?id=328 |

Great work Totters. Put us all* to shame, given your circumstances. *Well, not the PoD or the Cap'n, obvs. Just the rest of us mortals! |
