Thanks Lammo. Yes, my objective is to get round, to challenge myself to step up the distance after a couple of years of only doing sprints. It will be good to measure how far off I am from my previous times on this course, but I've little expectation of improving as I don't seem to be able to run as fast as I used to.

AA - been back to the gym today (watt bike followed by PT session) my foot is a bit stiff so mostly upper body and core stuff. the foot is settling down after the last injection, so hoping to get about on my bike soon. Physio tomorrow
I also have the same problem as Ankh and Scribbler
