I'm referring to those who usually sit near me at Marsham Street Greppers.

Are they 'real' rozzers or police staff filth scum?
If there's one thing I hate more than cops it's police staff. Workshy and useless with almost no exceptions - and the exceptions are either 'keen but useless' or 'idle but competent'.

Illness in the house of PoD
Seems all the getting wet and cold has caught up with me.
Grumpy but fortunately working at home.
I shall venture out to coach intervals later.

Get well soon Gobi.
How do I tell the difference Greppers? Can a man have a badge reading Deputy Chief Constable and still be police staff?

Police staff are employees, officers are warranted. So a cop will have a warrant card and a civie will have an ID card. The Essex/Kent combined staff cards like mine say "This is not a warrant card" on them.

Fair enough. Some are good at it, some aren't. If they're on secondment to the NPCC/HO they are probably the former. Look after them.
