I want to do 6 this year. I don't quite have the pace of Fenners and Rich behind me next year, but nor do I have HoD as a passenger, so we might equal GFY's total last year...

Actually, last year's team had four run sub 50! Becca's very quick as well, and runningmum scored well in the 50s.

It's not as bad as you imagine it t be - I was more chicken sh1t 'cos I had recently had a spate of injuries and was scared I would cripple myself! When you are actually out there if you have a good light it's ok, also I found I could sort of see more because there were often other peoples lights shining the way. Plus anything horrific and potentially ankle b*ggering was marked with reflective paint/tape like bad tree roots or holes that helped.

Ultra KK, a hand torch along with a head torch really makes a difference in the dark. You can use the hand torch to scan the ground in front of you and hunt out the tree roots and random holes that suddenly appear that weren't there on previous laps! :-0

Just be aware that they water the course and add special sticky mud under the cover of darkness.

... and the huskies caged up kinda made me jump! The mud was wierd it appeared in the dark then was gone by the daylight? Hello James looks like we are all on here :-) I am going to find it odd as I am the only female in the team.
