I love the colours in the horse chestnut flowers. I've never really looked at them closely before so hadn't realised the different colours in them.

On a walk past, they look cream, but getting close up reveals the yellow a pink.

Fragile Do Not Bend
It’s too early for Michaelmas daisies, they flower late summer. They could be ox eye daisies.

Fragile Do Not Bend
There are a lot of daisy like flowers out there. I’ve got loads of different coloured Michaelmas daisies in the garden so that’s how I know when they flower..

My wife, who is Canadian, went with me to an evening class on wildflowers and birds, which involved basically going on walks in different habitats. As she didn't know any of them, the names got a bit mixed up, especially the Oxtail Daisies.
