Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fragile Do Not Bend
So many old houses around here and I couldn’t see a date on any of them. HE Bates lived in the village but no blue plaque on his house. So I had to make do with the info board outside the church.

Chrisity: I did wonder about the history so thank you for the link. Very interesting. I love
the old newspaper adverts. I ran past their head office (I live in Arnold)

Some good work today and I agree, some excellent variety and interesting examples.

I've used the Lutyens War Memorial many times and it has dates on it so I'm using it again now

It's the 100th year of the University of Leicester, or at least the educational establishment that became it and the dates are on this sign

Since today's date is the 9th of June this one seemed quite appropriate

I had such plans today to go for a longer run which would have been to a nice village which I'm sure would have had old building with dates on; I need to go more rural than normal to get to a good viewpoint from which I can film some instructional videos for my cadets on how to take bearings! Was just about ready to leave the house when I then couldn't find my key! Long and short of it had to wait til the OH came home so I could go out, and long run is now postponed to tomorrow.
So the best I could do was these volunteering dates; balsam bashing sounds fun! I wonder how many of these actually took place in the end though :-/
Then got home and remembered the awesome new shirt that I was wearing had a date on the back! :-) (pic was from t'other day when it arrived, not post-run sweaty!)

Nightingale Hall of Residence at Nottingham Uni. Should be full of exam taking students, but none in sight. I've seen more people on that fire escape at 5 in the morning than i did in my mile run through the uni grounds.
