Well impressed that you can swing a day off for OH birthdaty, Linds!

Ours are all strategically placed around holidays. (Christmas, summer and May 1.)

Might well be allergies, Corrah, at least in part. Totally different critters and blooms down there. What struck me was how different the birdsong sounded.

That's what I am starting to think ITG. We have been serenaded by kookaburras. They are so noisy but just want to make me laugh every time I hear them.

For Corrah - the birds mostly seemed very unafraid of humans ...

In other news, have heart and blackheart for the month

Just can't help but smile when I hear them. Not seen them up close and personal yet on this visit, but am sure we will. Am melting in the heat!

Amazing photos - as I understand it, they're kingfishers. Surprising when you consider how shy British kingfishers are.

Happy birthday Mr. Linds.

Planning to go out with the running club this evening. Will be hill reps so I can keep up with them by just doing fewer reps.

Daisy: I seem to remember reading that if a keen runner is laid up in bed with a serious injury over several weeks, and if s/he regularly visualises (in detail) him/herself running well-known routes, then when s/he has recovered from the injury s/he will get back to running fitness much quicker than similar cases who don't do the said visualisation. Maybe that's what you had in mind?
But I don't think it quite fits McG's case.
