I live in the Borders - more castles than you can shake a stick at. Alnwick, when oldest boychild was wee (Of course, the observant amongst you will have noticed that Alnwick is on the Other Side in Northumberland, but who's counting?!)

Locally, I do enjoy a visit to Leeds or Hever Castles. Framlingham in Suffolk is nice one to visit too.
