Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I predict Scotland will be on an early flight home, having gifted their place out of the pool to Japan. :(

Flanker on rugby thread = TRO on cricket thread.

Most open WC ever IMO. 5 or 6 teams have a shout and it’ll really be about who can arrive at the sharp end with key players fit, with form set to peak and then luck/smarts on the day.

Eddie has history of keeping something under the table at WC’s, remember the 2003 Wallabies ambushing the ABs with a performance and game plan unlike anything they’d showed in the tourno before then, and Japan surprising the Saffas.

Am I that bad??

Hopefully you're right and he has a secret plan. Maybe Cipriani is his first choice fly half and he's going to draft him into the squad last minute?

The one positive I take is that we've not been playing the A team in these warm-up games. Bring back in Cohen, Mako, Underhill, Curry, etc and we'll address some of the skills gaps, but I still worry about our lack of creativity and how we seem to doggedly stick to a plan when everyone can see it's not working.

With the views that the Japanese have garnered singing Mae hen Wlad Fy Nhadau I guess I had better get on and learn the japanese anthem ready for their next visit.

The death knell of the 6 Nations has been sounded with the sellout to CVC. F1 was never the same after they grabbed hold of that "sport".

That is for the future, getting ready for Japan v Russia on friday, have a youtube version of the anthem so might have to sing phonetically if I can't find phonetic written lyrics, that's my next job.

Looking forward to it. Couple of biggies over the w/e and Japan should be fun to watch. Morning fixtures is a bit of a mind-f&@k, I remember the footy WC in 2002, spilling out of pubs at 9am, hammered, and having to go to work.....
