Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Only a pedant would point out that that is an ape pictured, not a monkey.

Favourite beer in trendy Beermoth Café, Manchester City centre today.

Harbour Ales, Session IPA, Cornwall, far better than a Sharpe or St Austell by a LONG way,

All my prayers have been answered.

Marple has 2 micro pubs. Stockport has 2. High lane has one and New Mills has one too. Where I live doesn't. Until March 😆. Please please pretty please let it be a good one. 200 yards down the road 😆

I noticed that Hobgoblin Gold in the supermarket and wondered about buying it - might have to do so next time I go shopping if it's good

Help! My favourite pub in the world, the Evening Star in Brighton, is closing for THREE weeks for cellar work and other refurbishment.

It's going to be a long three weeks, and I'm not sure what I will be going back to......
