hi all, as usual abandoning the lurking to ask for some more of your wonderfuly helpful advice
I have done a couple of mini sprint triathalons. I have a sprint comming up end of May, the problem is my weak point is cycling and the triathlon is 20km bike, with 10km going up a mountain (I am in Corsica) and 10km comming down.
I need to imporve drasticaly my bike riding on hills. Took me 44 minutes to go up the route for the race. My two questions are these 1 is it better to do
a)interval work on hills,
b) just practise going up 10km of hills
c) flat work too?
2 I need to take 10mins of my time between now and the end of May. If I can bike 1 or twice a week and hours, is this in the realms of possible?,
thnaks as usaul for all your helps and suggestions and I really enjoy reading when lurking!!
if any of you want to come out and train in superb surroundings with lovley blue seas and sunshine let me know!!

Re Corsica. I would probably try to mix up some intervals and flat work, getting out on my bike as often as I could. I would probably try to avoid depressing myself by not attempting to ride 10km uphill in a one-er until race day!!
NB A real coach will be along soon. Need any help with swimming?!

Welcome Tagazou.
As others said, ride your bike, ride your bike, ride your bike. Some hills, some intervals, lots of easy miles. No easy way I'm afraid, just need to find a way to incorporate lots of cycling into your life.
Good luck, keep us posted....
