Nice one scribbler, on the tri, blog reading later! 43 miles biked, lower back unhappy though. Most bike miles this year have been on the other bikes so think it was just position and having had a bit of a sore back earlier in the week. Must ride bike more often! |

Short but steep MTB this afternoon. Me and MrsC reminiscing over a trail or 2 in a forest we haven't visited for a dozen years. Plus ça change, plus c'est le même chose.

Morning. Fine weekend indeed. Friday - 5 mile runny race in a modest 31:18. Probably 30 secs left out there by not really gunning it. Saturday - Tour of Cambs Chrono. Mighty fun, still dull and cool when I raced (as expected). They'd change the route since last year adding 0.5 km of crystal maze type twisting to get in/out of the showground. Rode nicely on power, but not getting much speed out. Expected to break 40:00, finished short 41. Initially disappointed, but results showed slower than expected times across the board and ended with a comfortable qualification for the World Masters in Perth that I won't be taking up*. *also battered Grep's boy who can't hide behind 'on standard' given it was a non CTT event Sunday - Monster monster. 100.7 miles in 4:42 (21.5mph) all done in Zone 2, then 11 miles run at 7:49mm. Ride was comfortable; run also felt ok but heart rate a little higher than I would hope (ie a bit high to sustain that pace for a full marathon distance). This may have been heat as it was mid pm by then, or poor hydration, or more run fitness needed. Overall big day and some good learning. Happy Monday. |

Morning campers Back from a sunny week in pasty land, seems February didn't make it as far as Padstow. 2nd sprint tri survived yesterday. Survival was in doubt at one point |

Hello multisportists. My road bike is pretty pony. I want to make it a bit faster as I can't really afford a whole new bike. The wheels I have on it are shite- can people tell me some fast wheels that I don't need a mortgage for? Not ones that are too heavy as I need to get up hills and there is enough weight on me, don't need to add to the bike. Thanks |

At the risk of waffling, these say 11 speed, I currently have 10 speed. Do I have to hunt for 10 speed wheels #mostcluelesscyclistever
