See you at Livingston Davie, my first outing of the season as other commitments have seen me out of the first couple of XC fixtures. I always go into the first outing really looking forward to it and then I remember what XC is all about and how hard it is! Still, good winter training and all that. I saw you put in a good performance at Lasswade too mate, ahead of a couple of guys I would consider decent performers on the XC, so you never know about the club GP!

London champs today on hampstead heath! Really looking forward to this one. Sub 40 10k would get me top 100 based on last years times...
My last city champs were the Liverpool under 11s where I finished a disappointing 63rd. Several years ago now though

It's King of the Mountains on Tour de Gogs today. Given that I haven't run any of the series so far and that it's Neots tomorrow, I'm not going to run this one. It's my Favourite Race Series I've Never Run.

Ran the Lanarkshire AAA Cross Country Championships today - Bugger me i think im dead. Beat my 10k road time and won my clubs cross country championships, still it was a poor run on my part, should have done way better but hey there's always next year!
How'd everyone else get on?

Well done Zokas! Sounds like a good days work. I can't comprehend beating my road time on the XC, infact, it wouldn't happen even if I was running round a flat park so you must be well suited to it!
For some reason this weekends Scottish East District League fixture is Sunday instead of the usual Saturday which buggers up doing a long run this weekend. I did 10m today and felt rubbish so not expecting much tomorrow.

Aye, Sunday's a pain Richy. I'm hoping to tag a couple of miles before and after the race, and if the legs feel up for it do a wee recovery run in the evening. Hopefully see you at some point tomorrow mate. My third attempt at not shooting off far too fast and dying towards the end, and probably my third failure at it as well, lol

I had a great run at Stafford Common today (N Staffs League), I felt really strong all the way round, much better than at Leamington last week. Stafford is always a bleak and draggy course (with lumps of cow poo everywhere), but I think my legs are realizing what they are supposed to do for XC again now. Our guys and girls all did really well. Good fun + cake-fest at the end!

I was overtaken by a cheat today, I beat him in the end but still...
I've seen loads of runners run on the wrong sides of posts, it's almost accepted, but this bloke today overtook me by cutting quite a bit. All I did was tutted when he did it (the third time) as loud as possible and shake everyones hands (from our pack) other than his at the finish.
Would informing the organiser be too much? I did point at him when he ran past a Marshall off course, but I'm not going to complain about an unpaid volunteer who stands all day in the cold while us runners barely grunt a single thank you at them.

Enjoyed the league match today at Livingston. Started off much better without getting too carried away with the masses. Nothing too muddy or difficult on the course but a good few ups and downs on the 2 mile loop. 3 laps in 37.17, but I haven't seen the official results yet for a placing. Team came 5th overall though, and I was 3rd counter of 6. I would have been 2nd but got out sprinted to the line by a team mate which I was a bit annoyed with, lol. Good on him for going hard right to the line though
Got a few weeks till the district champs on 10th Dec now.

1st XC in the WYWL today at Pudsey. 20th overall after finishing 9th last sea, son. Slightly longer course, ran at a slghtly faster pace, with different underfoot conditions. A good starting block and gives me a few vests to chase at the next one.
