Right. I now understand that, despite the fact they've dug up the track, they'll have relaid it with super-duper Olympic stadium-style surface, long before December. The slight issue is that I didn't realise that polls get removed after 14 days, so I'll have to ask you all to indicate your preference on a separate poll again. I promise this time I'll actually write the results down, this time... |

I've just had the same problem with a race thread, Frobbles, for shame.

http://www.fetcheveryone.com/polls-view.php?id=1644 Tis an embuggeration, but an understandable one. Here's the poll, by the way. |

I've not voted because I don't know at this stage which date will be better for me (althoguh I can tell you right now that the chances of me getting to race on Christmas Day are somewhere between nil and zero). If I can get to it I will, and I'll bring at least 2 kids. Do what works for the most people and hopefully I'll see you all there.

Ok, brief update here. I'm booking it for 4th December. More details to follow (but I'd appreciate some help in setting up some sort of agenda or programme of events - it'll most likely be 11am for 2 hours). cheers folks. |

Will The Shouty One be there? Failing that we'd better come up with a plan B. Is Hammer around? He did a good job organising our team for the Eastern Region relays? Me and AJPAR have put on one of these events before and it was a shambles - so you don't want me involved. |

er, sorry, not enlightened sufficiently yet. Anyway, now I have a date, please tell me if you'll be there or not, and I will construct a Sheet of Spread. Also tell me what your skills are, apart from running, of course, in the non-running and event taking part category (ie operating a stopwatch, firing a starting gun, getting sheep, sorry, people herded and to a start line, pouring tea or coffee or squash into a cup, cutting cake, that sort of thing). |

I'll be there. Doubt I can persuade Sue. I will try to bully Dawn.
