I can't say Wellingborough was too salubrious. Nice 'micropub' at the station though. Drown your sorrows before leaving/arriving I expect.

Aldershot is quite near nice places even if it’s not nice.
Kettering isn’t near anything nice; it’s as if you looked at the UK and ran a complex algorithm to determine the place furthest from anything interesting.

True. I used to play Farnham League squash and learned to swim in Farnborough. Farnham's nice - or it was thirty years ago. Played cricked for Frimley briefly too.
