She was very materialistic, and gave that up to have the nice car (at the time we owned 1 car and my car was a company car). I started the process of selling the car to split proceeds, she waived those pension rights to have the car. I wouldn’t be enjoying this early retirement without that deal 😃😃😃😃.

He might say it wasn’t fair but that’s probably because he’s rubbish with money. I’ve no idea if that was the right or wrong thing to do but I’m happy to never have to share any finances with him ever again!

I left everything in the house and he gave me some money but wouldn’t have covered all the contents but I just wanted out. I could only retire early because of his money while he will have to work well into his 70’s as he has only half a pension, mortgage and two young children.
