Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There's some odd comic books and graphic novels on there, e.g American Splendor which is really an irregular comic book written by Harvey Pekar and drawn by diverse hands. I don't think it ever really had an end. I read quite a few issues but it was never a 'wow' must keep reading.

The Colour of Magic. When my youngest son was talking about reading Pratchett I suggested starting with Wyrd Sisters or Mort as I think they are better than the first few.

Dipps, at the head of the article they say "And while postmodern books would, you'd think, have to be published after the modern period -- in the 20th or 21st centuries -- could postmodernism exist without "Tristram Shandy"? We think not."

However, if they're treating Tristram Shandy as the father of the postmodern novel, they should stick Tom Jones in as well. That's at least an uncle.

Mrs s. I still have about 30+ Unread books on my kindle and another dozen or so on my wish list that I am watching to see if the price drops. Add to that I read the monthly book group and pick up free or cheap books from other sources so my list just gets longer. If I ever catch up I might revisit another book in the series.

Ps I know others gave way more TBR than I do

Too many books, too little time. It's a shame librarians don't get to read all day.

I've read seven off that list plus a few more if you allow books by the same author. Everyone should read Metamorphosis. It's the main reason I do the job I do.

*sets up gag for McG or Dio*
