Rich - any chance of sticking that in the header? I can't be the only out-of-towner that has this trouble, I suspect.

Am I right in thinking that you can't use that route if you're coming from the North (no exit at J13?)
You can exit the M11 at J12 (from either direction) and then come along the A603 (Barton Road) and then turn left into Grange Road and left into Adams Road.

Is J12 Trumpington? That's the way I go if so.

Trumpington is J11, in which case you drive towards the city centre, past the botanic garden and then turn left at the roundabout into Fen Causeway (the ring road), left at the next roundabout (A603 Sandy) and then right into Grange Road, past the university rugby ground and then left into Adams Road.
On a Saturday morning a couple of weeks before Christmas, you will in any case have plenty of time to consider your next move, as the road system will likely be at a near standstill.

Sounds like J12 might be the way to go then. Will give it a try this year. Thanks.

Greppers, would it help if I picked you up on the way? I have an almost unblemished record of finding the track (which is another way of saying that this year I'll bugger it up!).
