I may be 'working from home' but I am working longer hours than ever! Teaching remotely has involved a very steep learning curve and our school is expecting us to teach every single timetabled lesson (the students all have tablets) and we have just had an 'assessment week' where the students sat exams that we set via Microsoft Forms. Took bloody hours to format the exams and then it took me 12 hours of screen time to mark one class set due to bandwidth issues.... but that's OK, I only have 14 more classes to mark.
I am getting up early to get 5 miles in before breakfast, running/walking in my lunch hour and again after school. Morning break has been made 10 mins longer (to encourage the students to move away from their screens) so I often get a quick mile or two done then. I pay for it in the evenings though as I have to catch up on marking/planning that I would normally have done in my lunch break - I've worked until at least 10pm most evenings for the last 2 weeks.
Anyway - I came here to ask what the Dr Buzzard is?

NDWDave, I live near Cleveland, near the shores of Lake Erie. I am happy to see so many Fetchies who not only know of the man/legend Laz Lake, but were participating in the GVRAT. I run with a group of aging ultra runners, and few of us have know Gary for a long time, even raced with him back in his heyday. I had the great privilege of escorting him through a good chunk of northern Ohio during LazCon 2018. Lots of time for long conversations. Turns out he and I both have a passion for basketball, and played/coached for many years. We talked for hours that, and almost not a word about running.

I love running chats! I think that is why I love running so much because running side by side leads to conversations that would never happen if you sat opposite someone in a cafe!
