Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Still missing the tutu & sword hilt G, despite scouring your buddies list & various forums.

The 'ah" was for 9a. Can't believe that took me so long!

The tutu was one of the ones I knew straight away. Take a look in the mundane thread :-)

Pink tutu I knew, I know I've seen the sword hilt but can't put a name to it... is it Lego? The image in my head is more 8-bit/minecraft style. Been looking out for it vvvv since.

I must be stupid. I'd already tried the pink tutu answer days ago, but think I think I tried to fit it not 3d rather than 6d. And 3d I should have got too - one of the few on the grid I know well in person!

Done now anyway. Thanks for that one.

Oh yes! It is Lego, and not the image in my head. I never realised that avatar was a sword.

Glad you all got it. I'll maybe not do visual clues again. There's no "search" for a picture!

I thought the pink tutu would be pretty easy, cos she'd been MotM. The sword was harder, as I said, from a distance it looked a bit dodgier than a sword. But As Rose said, he's a regular blogger, so avatar shows up there, regularly. I thought "Angel of the North, he's no angle." might have challenged folk, cos he's not around much anymore. Again, came up in my buddies list.

*drums fingers* just Gordon's one to enjoy now. If his broken leg / collar bone / road rash etc. has healed. You only need your fingers to type on a keyboard Gordon... :-) G

A man is preparing to board a train when he hears that the Pope is also going to be using that mode of transportation because he apparently wanted to try something different.

"This is exciting," the man thinks. "I've always been a big fan of the Pope. Perhaps I'll be able to see him in person."

Imagine his surprise when the Pope sits down in the seat next to him. But the gentleman was too shy to speak to the Pontiff.

Shortly after taking his seat, the Pope began a crossword puzzle.

"This is fantastic," the man thinks. "I'm really good at crosswords. Perhaps, if the Pope gets stuck, he'll ask me for assistance."

Almost immediately, the Pope turns to the gentleman and says, "Excuse me, but do you know a four letter word referring to a woman that ends in 'u-n-t'?"

Only one word leaps to mind. The man feels uncomfortable. "My goodness," he thinks, "I can't tell the Pope that. There must be another word." He thinks for a while, then it hits him and he says, "I think the word you're looking for is 'aunt'."

"Of course," replies the Pope. "Do you have an eraser?"
