Triplet Dad
Hi Folks, I was off last week so just catching up with this thread now. I'm very excited to be part of Team 3.
I've ran with Becca and C-S before and they are both lovely so it will be nice to get to know the rest of you over the next few weeks and hopefully get to meet you for real over the race weekend.
My training has been patchy (to say the least) but this isn't about a PB attempt for me. I've applied for London each year since getting back into running 7 years ago and this is my first time to get in so I'm really looking forward to the atmosphere and the experience and I'm not worrying about a time. I did run a slow 21 miler last week which went OK so I should be fine to plod around and enjoy the scenery.
Accommodation and travel is all booked. We had a fright last week as the apartment we had booked has temporarily closed to bookings due to squatters but we got our money back and we've booked another apartment now so we're all set. We're coming down from Scotland on the Thursday and staying over until the Monday so we're making a real family trip of it.
Hope to catch up with all of you at some point

Sounds like you are all set TD. Welcome to Team 3. It should be a great weekend, in particular if you have the whole family joining you.

Can I remind all runners that there is no budget for supplies at Fetchpoint - anything you pick up there is provided by the generosity of the supporters and/or whatever you have arranged to be brought to Fetchpoint.
So while we may have jelly babies and other sweets, oranges, jaffa cakes in abundance, and possibly a few gels, bananas and other bits and pieces, if you have any other specific requests such as beer, g&t, a specific flavour and make of gel that can only be bought in one shop at the arse end of nowhere please can you provide these yourself and arrange for them to get to Fetchpoint.
This could be with friends/family that are coming along, or otherwise you can leave them at the Runners World stand at expo - put the item(s) in a bag with your (Fetch) name on it, and make sure they know it's for Fetch not for RW, as RW have their own support point, and I'll pick up from Expo around 4pm on the Saturday.
Sorry for the long post, hope that all makes sense!

Am really looking forward to it, starting to feel close to race day.
