Bacon is only acceptable these days as part of a cooked breakfast or cooked up in a ropey pasta sauce to tart it up.
Bacon butties are the preserve of young students. Who should be culled quicker than a badger given their presence on MY streets of Mankychester...

You doubters are, of course, all wrong. Bacon butties are the sustenance of choice for a huge swathe of British working folk without whom you'd have nowhere to live, no-one to keep you safe or defend your shores.
Plus they taste really good!
The only thing better than a bacon butty is a bacon banjo.
