Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Lots of good stuff. There is a lot of street art in Leicester as there is an annul festival called Bring the Paint. Often good works will be put on building site hoardings.

Not sure why the is sideways but this is one of the hoarding ones.

These are from Bring the Paint in 2019. I devised a nice long run route to go and see these and a few others did also. Lots were only temporary.

Could do with some of that around here, where it's mostly dickhead scallywags "tagging" everything in sight as if they live in The Bronx and it's 1983.

Alas some of the above have fallen prey to that sort of thing.

Some brilliant work there. I live in Chesterfield, recently moved from Sheffield. The street art scene is amazing in Sheffield, sadly most of the local "work" round here in Chez Vegas is crappy tags. I'll attach some pics from my phone in a bit from an exhibition I went to in Sheffield last year by one of the best artists, a guy called Phlegm. This is a link to info about the exhibition:

Wow, some great pics there!! I always thought there was an unwritten code/respect that street art wouldn't be written over/defaced. That's why councils pay artists to paint. I guess the code is optional...

Wasn't aware there were festivals, that's great, it's great to see them being painted and chatting to the artist.

I have a few pics and wasn't sure how this thread was going to go so I decided to do one a day to keep it moving.

Painting Silos is a thing, these were on the drive from Melbourne to Adelaide

Loving these... I've got lots of street art pics. It's something I always look out for. Will post some later. :-)
