Saw it, too much of a geek to enjoy it. Started with real promise, sadly I've never been impressed with JJ's ability to handle big farnchises (yes I am a trekkie!).

Great work, Gobi.
I took my daughter to see it on Saturday and we both absolutely loved it.
Must go again soon!

Going on the 24th. Felt that TFA was held in an absolute straightjacket in terms of what could be done which held the film back (understandable - needed to re-establish the franchise). Really loved Rogue One which reignited my interest in the series.
My worst fear is that I'll end up watching something resembling a soap opera Christmas special - ie all about 2/3 dysfunctional families, killing a character or two off and finding ways to shoehorn replacements in, rather than the galactic wide battle between good and evil.
Overall hopeful it will be good, though.
