Maybe also a Lewis Hamilton or either of the Kenny's could have been selected. Wasn't there another swimmer who picked up a load of medals too? Sterling seems an odd choice as he's not had the best year individually and just fits the must have a footballer choice mould. Can't think of a deserving individual in any of the main team games.

She has had an amazing year, 2 golds both by a country mile , at the age of 44, she has been winning medals since Barcelona! I would vote for her with Peaty a close second. But I'm sure Emma will get it. Shame she won't be there

Any thoughts on the main award? I'm going to go for: 1. Ben Stokes 2. Beth Mead 3. Eve Muirhead or Jessica Gadirova I'll be very surprised if anyone other than the England Lionesses wins the team award.
