Those of you blessed with a laser-like awareness of everything that happens on this site will have noticed a new option in the 'List View' on the training log.
It's called 'Speedmarks', although I toyed with the idea of calling it 'Skidmarks' (please encourage me to do so). When you import runs from GPS (caveat: may not work across the board just yet), it looks through that run to find the fastest 400m, 800m, km, 1200m and mile. It'll work for all new runs, although I *may* be able to retro-fit it to stuff you've already imported.
Why? I can't see any particular reason why, other than that it's a bit of entertainment / a little challenge that you might want to incorporate in your runs from time to time.
Why isn't it working? If it doesn't give you sensible results, it's probably fallen over on some oddity that I've not foreseen in my testing. Also, bear in mind that it measures from point-to-point recorded by the GPS, so if you gut the pig for exactly 400m and then stop immediately, and your watch only records 399.99 metres, then you don't win a doughnut. See?

I read it as Skidmarks before I read the first post. Sounds good, although it's not going to help with doing LSRs at a nice, even pace and avoiding a kamikaze sprint for the last 2-3 minutes if I've any energy left...

Have you just created a multi-location weekly Fetch Mile by accident?
