Just looked him up, where would he get hill training or do you think it won’t matter?

According to a recent email Mountain Fuel is the electrolyte on offer at water stations.

Has anyone used this in the past ?

Getting excited and looking forward to this one for a variety of reasons.

It’s 11 years since I ran this though the memories of 4 previous finishes are still fairly fresh.

The weather is looking good for the area, I’ve been there with 50 mph winds and rain in the past, but this weekend hydration may have to be watched with above average temperatures.

I've had all sorts of weather, from freezing cold, wet and windy all the way to pleasant sunshine. Some years in the same race. :)

HoD’s man finished third and first v40, he wasn’t far off the winner. Highlights on S4C /iplayer later tonight.

I was leading out for parts of the first two miles, wasn’t pushing particularly hard and when the first climb started and the chasing pack came past I felt they were pushing pretty hard considering the headwind. Some of them held on, some didn’t.

Quite warm yesterday, some drizzle mid race helped but tricky to keep fluids up.

Highlights are available, great to watch the drama of the mens race. The leader did not look in good shape starting the final climb.

That guy who went off the front early, ha what an idiot. Oh that was me (I did finish second v40 behind your mate but faded after 22 miles, went from 5th to 7th)
