I'm very pro. Our office has many, and we keep them clean unless they are being used.
Pet peeves:
(a) people using whiteboards to sellotape posters and thins too
(b) people that stick something on a whiteboard and write 'DO NOT RUB OUT' underneath, then leave. I'm sure there were whiteboards at Billericay Nick that had such a drawing on them when I moved in in 2009 und were unchanged when I left in 2013.

SO far nobody (IIRC) has come in to defend digital to-do lists. Anyone want to go and find Recoil? He was a convert last time I spoke to hm.
What about Cerra. He's clever, modern and opinionated. He's probably over on OTDIFH. Stand by.

I've taken a photo of my whiteboard and I'll bung it up later.

Items under review - who's working on them, what they are and the incident number. And a sketched diagram of how user permissions work.

How else do I get a vantage point to command the troops?

I have a whiteboard next to my desk that I diligently completed with a list on the day it was put up two years ago. Haven't touched it since.
