I walked down to the river and back, grateful that I can go out alone and feel perfectly safe in my locality, having no fear of the strangers I encounter.

I'm not afraid, never have been when running, but it does illustrate how dependent our safety is on random men choosing not to attack us.

Sigh
I've only just remembered to actually upload my run onto the RunThings page - bit of a faff if you're not on the orange site, but did a manual upload with a screen snip as evidence.

Full cooked breakfast then walked a lovely 10k out and back along the Deeside Way which included a 5k virtual in memory of Ashling Murphy. I frequently walk sections of this way by myself and have never felt threatened.
We stopped halfway at the Boxcar at Cults and MaltDrinker succumbed to his usual Billionaire slice but I was good and just had a coffee 😇

I raced 10k this morning, couldn't have managed an additional 5k run, and any 5k segment pulled out of my race would have given me a new best 5k time for the year, which is Not In The Spirit. So I'm going to use my parkrun time from yesterday. It was on one of those paths going out towards the countryside where you're perfectly safe ... unless that bloke sitting on the bench admiring the sea view is actually a murdering bastard waiting for someone to attack.

I logged the fastest segment from my 17 km sunday run. The donation was tbe same regardless that that came out as one of the slowest times amongst fetchies :)

Tweaked a calf with a mile to go. Ran through it considering what yesterday's 5k was all about.
