We won't :( Harriet's ice skating had to miss a week this term so her last one (and grading) is this week so we have to be in Aberdeen at 10.

I thought there was a rule about not mobbing inaugural runs? I met a crowd from Portobello pArkrun who were manning a feed station at Holyrood last Sunday and some of them are planning to drive all the way up from Edinburgh on Saturday!

There's a suggestion you shouldn't and, er, some EDs/RDs have had quite strong feelings about it. On the other hand, I reckon the teams at Ruchill and Vogrie were delighted with visitors coming for the inaugural, even if Vogrie did involve quite a bit of traffic management. If I was involved in an inaugural and about 30 people turned up, I'd be wildly disappointed.

They haven't done a very good job of keeping it quiet, so i think it's fair game....

Montrose is a bit far for some Aberdeen runners, but nice for a bit of tourism, and always nice to get the first one.

I'll be there anyway, albeit 7 hours earlier than i normally am. *football*

I don't think there's any "rule" Angus, it's just a few of the EDs/RDs who don't like the idea.

However given that they are now calling the parkrun tail-runner a "tail walker", clearly not all their ideas are particularly sensible... :-)

[I'm all for inclusivity, but seriously guys, the clue is in the name...]

I'm not bothered either way, although I think it might be a wee bit of a challenge if you suddenly get a massive influx when your admin is still in its infancy and none of your volunteers have any experience. And it must be a bit crushing when on the next week there's just a dozen turn up......

We're planning to go and see fit like. Registered us all last night.
