Four pages of food and drink suggestions and nae mention of the Buckie?

13th of May should be just early enough for Tavy to be midgie free. I've camped there several times and it loses its charm when the wee b@stards are out in force.

There was quite a bit of discussion after last year's Great Scottish Run half marathon, with lots of people thinking it was short. Callum Hawkins set an amazing pb, and even he seemed shocked how fast he'd gone !

Well, it was re-measured this morning and result will be announced tomorrow bbc.co.uk

Interesting Gus, I suspect it will be found to be a few hundred metres short which is a shame

I see that Callum is doing an HM in Japan this weekend, time to recitify that though

Also the lad Korir that pipped him in the XC ran a 61 mid HM at Houston the week after the XC on a hot day where the elites reckoned they were a minute slower than they should have been

Interesting that they only found this out after the Stirling Marathon entries closed.

Haha, hadn't spotted that DaveG, what a coincidence ;-)

Cue the hordes on Facebook demanding refunds - as if that's ever going to happen.......

It's a shame for Callum. But is a real shame for normal runners PB's too and people who thought this was their first half marathon.

Glad I did the 10k!
