Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Cupar 5 miler in mid March is pretty good. Not pan flat, just undulating wee country roads, out and back. Done it a couple of times.
Now you're a Fifer it would be rude not to ;-)

Lol. Thanks for suggestions guys. I'll have a look at Nairn and Cupar both. That's East Fife Gus - they're different over there! ;-)

Ally, is it the same route as the half was (back in Nov 2007, my first ever race! They don't do the half any more.) ? Out of village, along disused railway line, with puddles and stuff? If so, it was reasonably solid under foot, so even though splashy and muddy, still runnable? The half finished on a grass bit (back of a school or village green or something?) which was very squish and hard at the end? Ta. :-) G

You started just behind the registration hall on the A811, then down left onto the B835 road for maybe a kilometre or more then you take a right turn, here it's quite solid, then I think it goes into Flanders Moss, where it gets a bit more wet and muddy, to a turning point, then back the same route.

It's like a forestry track for about 7 out of the 10k, conditions very much weather dependent.

I'm doing the Falkirk Ultra, training run for the D33, might just get to marathon distance and chuck it though.
