Weather at Loch Rannoch was 'character building' the year K5 Gus and I both did it!

You might need to narrow that down as there are few years there isn’t character building weather

57.5 - I remember it lashing down and really windy whilst sitting in the car before the race, but did it not miraculously clear up ( relatively speaking ) during the race ?

Going round the loch is a pleasant bike ride I’ve done a few times when staying locally, I’m sure it would be a lovely marathon to run too, weather aside.

Spoken like a true Scotsman. Race weather was moderately unpleasant but far better than the dramatic storms earlier!

They did a half at the same time on the return leg, which made for a slightly less thinned out field.

Good luck for anyone and everyone doing the Highland Fling this coming weekend. Looks like weather might stay dry and will be cool, so be a cracking day for it. :-) G

I've done the Dirty Thirty, but not the Dozen. Think the first few miles are the same, before the Dozen branches off back to Glenelg. Lovely part of Scotland
