Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Son of a Pronator Man
Will winchburgh undermine the viability of Polkemmet - which seems to get low numbers?

I did my second Holyrood on Saturday and while this could never be my favourite course because it’s a tough one this must be the most special course for the views.

Facebook post HappyG(rrr) :

THERE WILL BE NO HIGHLAND FLING RACE IN 2023

After much deliberation I have come to the difficult decision to not organise a 2023 Highland Fling Race. This decision has been very difficult for me to make as I am aware that a lot of runners and volunteers enjoy the event.

Over the coming months I feel that I would not be able to give the event the high levels of effort and time required to organise the race.

I am so sorry for any disappointment caused by this decision but promise that the event will return in 2024 and will be better than ever.

Best wishes

John

Is Johnny Fling unwell or having issues? I haven't seen him for a few years to be honest. Great shame. Hope he's OK.

Lol Dv. I was wondering same! I'll be at East District champs at Stirling uni. Holding the coats tho as I've picked up hip niggle. Run well Damo and anyone else racing today.

Hoping to make it along to cheer at 7R tomorrow too! :-) G

Indeed Dvorak, Stirling would be a better shout. It was a pretty good day for XC. For December in Scotland you can expect much better. A little big soggy underfoot in places but very runnable for most of the course.
