Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Kirkcaldy is all tarmac iirc, got a hill but it’s not too steep, two laps but a good descent.

Hello everyone - we are heading for Orkney at the weekend, but taking a couple of days. First overnight is in Stirling and I am aiming to run on Sunday morning. Any suggestions? We are staying on Broad St and I have 6 miles on the plan

Drive to Bridge of Allan and park on the Carse road, do three miles out and back, nice quiet road, shared use cyclist, horse, runners etc.

I walked it earlier today, you’ll find the route on my training programme.

Ally - Not sure if your privacy settings are displaying maps?

AL - Here’s the 3 mile section Ally suggested as a 6 mile out and back.

Just head back to Henderson Street afterwards if you want coffee/breakfast/lunch. The Allanwater Cafe and Cafe 33 (now renamed Wee Timorous Beastie Cafe) are both used to sweaty cyclists and runners, so you wont look out of place if head straight there!

LG - can also vouch for kirkcaldy being all tar and only one not-too vicious hill.
