Has everyone seen on FB the Pyllon boys n girl are at it again!

Pyllon Endeavour 2 (or 2020) - a relay of top ultra runners doing 537 mile winter trail! 23 Jan start. Boab (of this parish), JamesStewart (also Fetchie) etc. Crazy. Amazing! :-) G

The Pyllon Racing team are aiming to run the entire length of the Scottish National Trail from Cape Wrath in the North to Kirk Yetholm at the border. The un-official trail runs the length of Scotland and is one of the toughest and most varied routes in the UK - covering 870 kilometres (537 miles). We are hoping to set a winter record at 100-hours to raise awareness of the benefits of running and community to mental health and well-being.

Wow, that's epic !

That'd be hard enough in Summer, but at this time of year with darkness, high river levels, very boggy ground, etc, etc it doesn't bear thinking about.

Be interesting to see how they do the logistics - how long each runner runs, have they got campervans for sleeping etc

I’ve watched Pyllon videos before & Paul Giblin’s dad was in a campervan following him. Guess it will be similar.

Off to try my 28th different Scottish parkrun tomorrow in Dumbarton.

Although Not Scottish related, I just worked out that I’m on 188 parkruns, dad on 185 and mum on 45. Will be in London on marathon weekend so trying to work out if we could do our 200, 200 and 50th on the same day down at Bushy :-)

Wow! That's insane. I've never heard of it.

Dumbarton pr is a nice course. It formed part of last summer's Tour of Clydeside.

I really need to get back to pr as I'm in low double figures and I'm way behind my running buddy who picked up the 100 token on her 100th at our local Greenock pr. I've gotten out of the habit of going.

FYI mails have started to drop informing of a later start time 10:30 to tomorrow's Pollok Park leg of the South by 5 due to forecasted icy conditions.

Dumbarton is such a nice parkrun!! I recommend everyone goes to visit. What a lovely park, it’s so well maintained. It’s very up and down-y but I really enjoyed myself :-)

Looking forward to Levengrove at some point. Queen's next: originally meant to be last week (but, weather!), now hoping for next week.

Might pop into Falkirk to spectate at the Epic Trail 10K : watching 1800 people (stated entry figure) try to get round those trails might be an entertainment ;-)

Lothian are doing pacers at Livi next weekend. It’s my local and although a tough course, I really like it.
