Max, I'm not on Fetch very often but I logged on to see if anyone had given the awful news. Katypie rang me this morning and I am just bawling. Graeme's widow described him as having "the biggest heart" and I think that sums him up perfectly. I can't even remember how I got to know him, but he's been a friend to so many other Fetchies and runners forever.

Just saw that on FB too - very sad. Sent a message to Nina, his partner, just to express my condolences and sympathies. He was one of the good 'uns - kind, generous and loads of fun. Does anyone know how he died? Obviously didn't want to ask in my message to her. Did he have a known condition? Very sad indeed. |

I ran with him a few times, met him at a few socials (through Fetchies) and helped him and JammyCaz out with the first Falkirk parkruns as they were starting up (3rd parkrun in Scotland after Pollok and Cramond?) Didn't know him well though, but what I knew was lovely. Very sad loss.

R.I.P. Graeme. Seen him a lot at Falkirk, he’ll be sorely missed.

Shocked. Just shocked. Spikeyboy on Fetch. Went from zero to Highland Fling in around four years.. Ran every day for a year. Then stopped. And of course very involved in starting Falkirk parkrun (how I came to know him), later becoming sole Event Director for years. R.I.P., Graeme. fetcheveryone.com/userprofile.php?id=30038 |

Yes, he was a great guy I met him and had a few drinks with him and Smout after VLM, I think that was 2012. Saw him at Falkirk often. Very sad news.

Happy, I dont know anything about the cause but I can surmise it was sudden as he was online at work yesterday. Having said that, someone on the FB post mentions him feeling better recently so he presumably has been unwell in some way. I saw him marshalling/supporting/running ultras, marshalling big races in Edinburgh and Glasgow (he had an official role at the Commie Games I think?), as RD of Linlithgow 10k, as a part of linlithgow AC, occasionally at work, if there was running in Scotland, he would be involved. |
