Can I suggest Paul McCartney? Yes he was in the Beatles, and yes they were huge several decades ago, but his singing was crap at the Jubilee concert and I understand they are wheeling him out for the Olympics too - argh! He also sang the frog chorus and ebony and ivory and Mull of Kintyre and loads of shit stuff and did I mention that the good stuff was DECADES ago, we surely have better ...I can't bear the reverance with which he is treated, or the way he seems to agree that all the idolation is richly deserved

But Swittle that doesn't make his singing sound any better.

I am not saying he is totally crap, but he isn't the best thing since granary bread either, and his singing at the concert was really disapponting for the finale ...

I midread D2's post - thought they said can I have a religion that is too vague ... and I wondered "What religion?". D'oh.

Didn't think I said it did, sioUx... but the impact of Lennon & McCartney's musicianship surely saves Sir P from the *abattoir*....
