Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I had a strange thing happen to the middle finger of my right hand tonight. I seemed to lose blood from the top joint and it went white and numb for about 20 minutes while I was walking round the supermarket.

It wasn't particularly cold, but this is the same joint I dislocated last year. It's happened once before but that was around a month after I injured it and I figured it was still healing on the inside.

Should I be concerned?

I get that quite often, but like Stumpy (I assume), it's to do with the cold, and I've never injured my hands. Since you have a different history though, no harm in getting it checked out?

Raynauds i would expect to affect more than one finger, tho one can be affected more than the others

your injury may well be relevant

Fine now thanks Hipps. I got the blood flow back into it by holding it low down, shaking and rubbing it. It was a very odd feeling. I only ever seem to go to my GP with weird, not terribly concerning stuff.

Could it be Raynaud’s disease (http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Raynauds-phenomenon/Pages/Introduction.aspx). I work with a girl that gets it but on more than one finger.
