It can be quite NIMBY, depending on the circumstances of course. It should say "Private driveway - no turning. Use next door's, he's a twat".

Margaret Thatcher would never have done that. The Lady was not for turning

I always choose the No Turning driveway too if there's no other option but a driveway to turn in. Always.

Mine says "Fire Road and Private Drive. No parking, No turning, No camping, No fires, No sh*gging in the bushes, please take your litter home"

Then you don't have the horror of turning to deal with.

I wonder if the sort of person who has that kind of sign in the driveway spends his or her days sitting by the window with a loaded shotgun (or just a pretend one) waiting to catch people and dogs inadvertently walking up the path or letting their children walk along the garden wall before bellowing "Gerrorf my land!" or similar?

Some folks get rather territorial about parking, I never parked in front of next door neighbours house as she was always complaining when folks did, they were perfectly entitled to.
Me I get mad when folks block my car in my driveway.

I had a visitor who pulled into my neighbours space as there was already a car in mine. My neighbour ran out of his flat within 1 minute to tell him to move his car. He doesn't own a car so the space is always empty. I don't own a car either and let one of my other neighbours, Mr Twatty-Three-Cars park in my space. Some people need to get a life.

isn't not blocking a driveway part f the Highway Code, though? Or have i been imagining that all my life and excluding myself from all manner of unreasonable parking practices?
