Nellers
2 classics fromthe commentators this morning.
First, as Some made the break they both agreed that he was going much too early and this was basically a naive tactical move. 5 miles later they're praising his bravery as he powers on towards the victory.
During those few miles we got the incredible insight that "If the chasers don't close that gap I think he's going to win this."
So that's how races work. Suddenly this trying-to-run-faster-than-everyone-else thing makes a lot more sense.

3.51.40 PB for me. Lovely course, a bit parky at the start but reasonably well organised considering they were expecting 50,000 people. Only the French would have that many people walk across the Arc de Triomphe junction whilst it was still open to traffic !

Well done Fitz! 4:39:24 PB for me and absolutely over the moon. Ran the perfect race and loved every minute. Water stations were a nightmare but manageable. Absolutely buzzing.

well done people ... it is a nice race, done it too many times, and now the bois de boulogne (km 35 to 41) has got too many painful memories for me to go back!! I heard conditions were close to perfect? Not too much wind?
