I lived in Cardiff for a year, working on manufacture of advanced electronic components. Always enjoyed listening to Welsh colleagues' conversation which would contain loanwords like "quantum well", "epitaxial deposition" and "heterojunction" (arguably loans into English from latin or greek too.)
