And yes, PPB, it is wrong This is dead exciting. All those people who've trained for years and years to be the best in the world, competing on our doorstep? It's brilliant.

Watching most sport is actually quite boring. I certainly am not one of those who whinge incessantly about it but I do think that it is a waste of money at a time when people are losing their jobs and public sector spending is being slashed. And every time that I see Seb Coe on the news, I get the urge to punch the TV set.
