WP - that's a good plan.
I only have my own non traditional plan. Get to 50mpw and stay there, week in week out. Keep on with 4 gym sessions to improve leg strength and try and prevent injury.
Running will be 5 x 8 miles and one 10 mile run, no long runs.
20 mile race in March, week before first marathon attempt for 2 years.
Vrap - did you sort your accommodation for DD?

A consistent 50mpw is pretty much where my plan is at too, Shades, though I intend to include a 2-3 hour run with plenty of hills except on weeks leading up to a race. I've got a couple of half marathons in Spain late Jan/early Feb, possibly the Haweswater half at the beginning of March, and the Colwyn Bay 20 on 9th March.
I haven't arranged accommodation for DD yet. I'm not spending any more money on that race until I have evidence that I'm doing the training rather than just talking about it.

A 10 mile run for me would be 2+ hours anyway.
I bet Haweswater half is a nice race, Colwyn Bay too. I don't race in the winter, too cold for me, I'm hoping March is warmish for the time of year.
I have every confidence in you that you will do DD, and do it well.

Haweswater is lovely, and quite undulating.

Shades Sounds like my plan 50 mile weeks with the long run at 2 hours 20 as a max.
No races in the build up either unless I do the other Newport half about a month before,
I think March is soon enough to race with Winter over with.Unlike those is sunny climes for the winter.......long hard stare at a Dinosaur

🌞 (I do also have a local 10k mid-January, I'm not a total sunbird. I like racing.)

That's my Newport accommodation booked. A week, Friday to Friday, because if he's been cured by then eL Bee! will want to go to a mountain bike centre.
Might start training next week and have a 17 week plan. I've got itchy legs.

I see that they expect the final places to be filled soon.
I haven't booked any accommodation, I might drive up on the day. I have booked the park and ride.
